Sheffield City Council and TravelMaster are offering Sheffielders a free CityWide Day ticket through the BetterPoints app. You can exchange 50 BetterPoints for a day’s travel anywhere in Sheffield on any bus and tram on any day of your choice up until January 31 2025.
The BetterPoints app has already been downloaded by 17,500 Sheffielders since it launched in September 2023. It turns your steps, wheeling journeys, cycle rides, and public transport trips into shopping vouchers or donations to local charities.
New members can earn 100 points instantly – all you need to do is download the BetterPoints app and take the two-minute joining survey. You’ll pocket enough points to get your TravelMaster CityWide Sheffield 1-day ticket straight away - and still have 50 BetterPoints towards your first reward! Please note, you can only get one ticket so as many people as possible can try the bus and tram.
Once you’ve exchanged your 50 BetterPoints for a CityWide Day ticket, you’ll get a unique voucher code by email. You’ll need to enter it in the TravelMaster app to redeem your ticket. You can then activate your your ticket to travel on any bus or tram in Sheffield, as many times as you like, for a whole day.
Once you've taken the survey, simply tap Rewards 🎁 to select the voucher and then follow the steps set out in the email you receive with your unique coupon code (also displayed in the in-app voucher, below right):
